A memorial will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18 from 7-9 p.m. at the Cotillion Gallery, 3340 Country Club Dr., Los Angeles.
Kamps Emmy nommed for sound editing for a miniseries, movie or special for the miniseries "Sleeper Cell" and "Desperation" in 2006, and for "The Pretender" in 1999.
Other projects he worked on as supervising sound editor include "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Empire," "Brotherhood," "Dexter" and "Criminal Minds."
Born in Phoenix, he was a member of the Editors Guild.
He is survived by his father, Richard; his companion, Lucile and two brothers.
